JOHN WINSTON LENNON was born in Liverpool, England in 1940. As a Beatle, he energized and inspired young people all over the world through his music. In later years, he continued to inspire through his music, his political activism and message of love and peace. He died in New York City in 1980 when he was shot in front of his home at the Dakota by a crazed fan. His death was tragic but through his music, he lives on and will continue to influence generations to come. |
